Since I’ve began working over at Magazine X, which has been at the forefront of our music scene and the development of our music culture, I’ve learned a couple of things about how to appreciate Magazine X.
News papers can’t even come close to this product because they’re run by 50+ year olds that talk about business plans, budgets, acquisition, polls, surveys, and all sorts of corporate world view words that are carefully crafted so the executive appears smart, only to go home, put on some diapers and a pacifier and let some poor girl from Honduras spank ‘em for being bad, bad, bad, naughty.
Point is, go pick up a copy of Magazine X because it’s the Ultimate Entertainment Guide for the Rio Grande Valley. ‘Nuff said.

Ten Ton Hammer, since its inception in 2006, has quickly made a reputation as the “party” band. The man behind the madness, Rik (founding member of Abyss), began the mayhem of recruiting each member of TTH with the sole purpose of going back to the roots of why every musician begins playing their instrument — to jam with other “brother” musicians.
Visit myspace.com/tentonhammer2008 for more information. Upcoming shows to be at Newman’s Bar and Grill and at Smokin’ Aces.

Ah yes, the new year is upon us and I am looking forward to wrapping up this year’s business in style. Last night I was at Skky Lounge and let me tell you, the place is nice. I’ll have some pictures up soon. The event kicked ass with Black Silent Malignant, Heaven Holocaust and Carrion Kind rocking the stage. Pictures up next. Oh, as for the Web site updates, my South Texas Concert Listings page is experiencing the flu right now, so if it’s giving you some problems, some chicken soup would be great, thanks!
The December Drive announced they have 2 songs up from "Games" the new album out December 20th. (0)

So this morning I’m surfing Myspace and have decided that I’m going to delete the account. It’s a culture of xenophilia, if you will. I’m not just saying that for posterity, but damn — it’s just too much for too long. Every time I log in I just check the bulletins and that’s about it - the idea that people actually go from one profile to another reading comments someone left for another in a neo-form of voyerism is actually obnoxious and worse than that unknown annoying person that just walks up to your entourage and just listens while you talk with your buddies. Then, worthless writings of beligerency of all forms take shape and simply knick away at the foundation of our culture with things that people used to reserve for the insane. On to the links, you foes!

From around the internet
So, aside from being the next name for your death metal band (as soon as you find a drummer), dark energy currently spends its time hurdling everything in the universe away from itself, like everyone did that time you pooped in the pool.
You might be wondering how a perfectly healthy 16-year-old managed to get lipo, and you’d be right. Jamies mom Lynne had to fight for her daughter to get approved because you’re not supposed to knock out underage teens and poke around inside of them. Ironically, that’s how Jamie got into this mess to begin with.
After initially ordering a full season, NBC has decided to pull the plug on Knight Rider with four shows to go. I blame the collapse of the auto industry. Because there’s no way anyone with the right number of chromosomes could’ve possibly seen five seconds of that godawful show and decided people wanted more unless Ford was footing the bill. The closest comparison for it I can think of is a bad infomercial, which isn’t quite fair. I’d much rather watch someone clean up grandma’s drool with a Sham-Wow than watch this tool act continually surprised. This was so bad it made the David Hasshoff version look good. It was so bad it made the product placement in Transformers seem tasteful.
What's up my damies? I'm migrating the old Tenet Community Web site to this one so if you click on this link, you'll see our old posts on here, yippy! (0)
