Valley Schwag
This past Thursday I was at Smokin’ Aces in Mission performing blues with my rag-tag band, Valley Schwag. Thank you to all of those who listened to us for our first performance. Catch us at Johnny’s BBQ on Saturdays. After the jump are a few images from the event. Read more.
Daniel of Driver XXIII at Smokin' Aces
This past September 11th, Divine Heresy was to play at Smokin’ Aces in Mission, Texas. Because of Hurricane Ike, Divine Heresy was forced to cancel several Texas shows and Smokin’ Aces was no exception. This didn’t stop concert goers from enjoying an evening with the opening acts. Tenet Community was at the event, we took some some pics that have been uploaded for your viewing pleasure. Check out the album after the jump. Read more.

Tuesday, March 27, 2007 marks the day Anal Cunt played South Texas. The noise/hate/grind core band was one looked forward to fans from around the Valley. Five valley bands performed at the event, which took place at Metro in McAllen. Tuesday night is apparently Hip-Hop night. So between bands, you can clearly hear the beats of reggeton and new hip-hop blasting from the first floor. Luckily, the breaks between bands weren’t long. Read more.
I have finally transferred all the photos from various locations here. These are just about all the images that have been posted over the past year or so. Enjoy. Read more.

I like this photo from 236.com which reports most of the news, some of the time.
I have writer’s block. Yeah, I’ve had it before and it never really stopped me from saying anything that was on my mind. I don’t know why it’s different today.
I’ll be updating the upcoming shows in the South Texas area today or tomorrow. It looks like people visited the “Add an Event” page but didn’t upload their information. Here’s some images I’m trying to get off my hard drive.

The opinion of the music and scene I have will be expressed in this column. Though I am not a musician, I love music. It’s sound and lyrics can have quite an impact and have done so on me throughout the years. This will serve as a review of local music and its scene from the perspective of a spectator, a fresh point of view so to speak.
I attended the Hookah Lounge this past Friday to catch a great show. My expectations were exceeded! Dead But Walking Productions hosts shows at the Hookah, giving you a dose of Metal and Hardcore every week. Its upcoming shows are mostly brutal metal, which pleases me. Last Friday’s show on the 7th included Notasoul, Dogma Hollow, Undying Prophecy, Exciduim and As Long As People Die from College Station. Read more.

MCALLEN, TEXAS - Rabid Cadaver Dogs announced they have a new logo. Look for them on myspace!
SEXY UPDATE: Pix after the jump. Read more.
This morning is a regular morning. Coffee, the kid running around aimlessly, turtle head poking - the usual. Well, usual until I ran into these pics by none other than our boy (subjective?), Oscar de la Hoya.
Now I don’t mind that our boy (I know, subjective) poses in these photos; at least he ain’t fucking horses or sheep. If they caught him fucking sheep, I would be worried. Horses are OK, I mean, who doesn’t fuck horses?
Now much like Dave Chappelle with R.Kelly, I am much inclined to believe Oscar, hell even defend him because he’s Mexican. I’m Mexican and being Mexican is the next White. And I won’t get into how Mexicans are “steeling this nation” - we’re just following the white man’s example.
Back to Oscar - As for me, I always wear fishnet stockings with matching outfit and a proportionate wig. This weekend for example, I’m headed to see Extinction I can’t see myself wearing anything else.
These are archive images taken at the Hookah Lounge in McAllen, Texas.
